My design journey
I began my career as a project manager, overseeing design and engineering projects at companies like health tech startup Keas (acquired by Welltok) and Twitter (I can't bring myself to call it "X"). During this time, I gained valuable experience in user experience, product development, and feature optimization. A significant moment for me was redesigning the Twitter Beta program’s reporting flow, utilized by over 20,000 testers. This project ignited my passion for design and motivated me to shift my career path.
Eager to get closer to building solutions, I earned a master’s in Human-Centered Design & Engineering from the University of Washington, focusing on UX design, user research, and the intersection with emerging technologies. Since graduating in 2019, I have led UX/UI design, user research, and design strategy initiatives across civic and private sectors. My experience includes building mobile tools and policy-driven products as a Design Lead for the City of Seattle and designing intuitive digital experiences and product strategies for my clients at Artefact. I embrace a user-centered, research-driven, and impact-focused approach to designing products that effectively align real user needs with business goals.
